Professional Background
Chris grew up in Tyler, Texas. Prior to law school, Chris received his B.B.A. in Management and Operations, with a minor in Finance, from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas in Austin, where he was a member of the Gamma Beta Phi Honors Society, the Brass Ring Honors Consulting Program, an Honors Scholar, and an intern for the Texas House of Representatives 78th Legislature.

Thereafter, Chris graduated cum laude from the SMU Dedman School of Law, where he was a consistent member of the Dean’s honor roll and Chief Counsel of the Child Advocacy Clinic.

Chris focuses his practice in four areas:

(i) corporate transactions;
(ii) real estate transactions;
(iii) estate and gift tax planning; and
(iv) probate.

Chris has successfully pursued Will and Guardianship contest actions in various counties in the Metroplex. In that regard, Chris’s article “Avoiding the Now Ubiquitous Will or Trust Contest” was published in the December 2015 edition of Headnotes published by the Dallas Bar Association.

Chris regularly represents clients in complex, multi-million dollar business and estate planning matters, including business sales, mergers and continuity planning for business succession to future generations, in order to ensure that their assets will be properly protected, structured and ultimately transferred to future generations or charitable organizations in the most tax efficient manner.

Chris is a member of the Collin County Bar Association, Tarrant County Bar Association, the Dallas Bar Association, and the State Bar of Texas.
