Professional Background
Neal Prevost is a founding partner of Prevost, Shaff, Mason & Carns, PLLC and is an owner of Cabana Asset Management. He graduated from Baylor University in 1982 with a bachelor’s degree in Entrepreneurial Studies. For eight years thereafter, Neal was engaged in the brokerage of Insurance, Investments and Commercial Real Estate. Neal then returned to Louisiana State University and received his Law Degree from Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 1993. He was selected as a candidate for membership of the Louisiana Law Review. Neal was admitted to the bar in 1993.

After graduation Neal was appointed by the Honorable A. Joe Fish, Federal District Judge for the Northern District of Texas as a law clerk for a one-year term. Neal has been in private practice for over 20 years. Neal’s compassion and empathy makes him an ideal attorney for many sensitive aspects of family law. In his free time, Neal enjoys spending time with his sons and his with his wife of 28 years.
